BOUQUETS FROM DAILY MAIL

Dear Mr. Webb. I like your idea of priced catalogues. I checked up on all I could and found that in many cases they are less than current lists. I have learned the value of hundreds of coins that were new to me.

Dear Mr. Webb. Why do I not get any coins from your sales ? Answer. Be¬ cause you sent in bids far too low. I would not sell any of your Unc and Proof coins for the prices you bid. In lots of cases you did not bid even one- half what they are regularly selling for. Wake up my friend, you have lots to learn in this coin business, and that ap¬ plies to all of us, too.

Dear Mr. Webb. I received your let¬ ter and am sending you my complete set of commemoratives to sell for me.

I am convinced they are bringing all they aie worth at this time. I know you will not give them away as some are appar¬ ently doing.

Dear Mr. Webb. Will you help me out with some information I need in starting to collect foreign coins. Answer. Al¬ ways glad to do this as far as I am able. Just always put in a stamp and reply will come quickly. I am buying every book on coins I feel will be a real help in my business.

Dear Mr. Webb. What do you charge for selling coins ? Answer. That depends on what you have to offer. If you have really rare coins I will try to sell them for 5%. Reason is that many of them are in constant demand at good prices and I would rather sell six of them than 600 cheap ones. But I take “The lean with the fat”.

LOT FROM NEW YORK BRITISH TOKENS

During the reign of George III from 1787 to 1795 the regal copper coinage was very scanty. The Anglesey Copper Company struck great quantities of pen¬ nies and half pennies for various trades¬ men. They present an immense variety of types, persons, buildings, coats of arms, local legends, political events, etc. Eng¬ lish collectors are very fond of them and lists which I have on file show they readily bring in VF condition from 75c to $2 each. This lot offered is the finest I have ever seen, most all being uncir¬ culated, as noted. They should bring a good price. Any collector interested in buying the whole lot, a more detailed description can be given, or can send list of numbers from H&D’s Work.
